Episode 30

More Than Enough: Living Under an Open Heaven | Ps. Jason Avanzini

Published on: 18th August, 2025

So many believers are living for “just enough,” when God’s Word clearly calls us into a life of more than enough. In this powerful teaching, discover the biblical foundation of tithes and offerings—from Adam and Abel all the way to Abraham, Jacob, and even into the New Testament.

You’ll see that giving is not about losing—it’s about aligning with Heaven’s economy and stepping into a covenant of abundance. When we honor God first, He removes the ceiling and opens the windows of heaven over our lives.

This isn’t about pressure. It’s about partnership. God doesn’t just want you to survive—He’s called you to thrive, prosper, and overflow with blessing so you can impact nations for His glory.

Get ready to break free from the mindset of lack and embrace the supernatural lifestyle of Kingdom abundance.

10

:

Now let's dive into today's episode.

11

:

Thank y'all so very much for the

opportunity to get to be here.

12

:

You have tremendous pastors, um,

pastor Glenn and Pastor Lynn.

13

:

Um, they love the word and they love you.

14

:

And it's their desire to see you fruitful

and see you blessed in every way.

15

:

Um, spirit, soul, and body.

16

:

Just like Third John two, it says,

beloved, I pray above all things

17

:

that you would prosper and be in good

health, even as your soul prospers.

18

:

So what happens in our spiritual

life is, is what's going to come out

19

:

and produce that healing 'cause it's

Jesus, it's boy we will, it's going

20

:

to be what produces that prosperity.

21

:

It's Jesus.

22

:

Amen.

23

:

Um, thank you so much for, for,

um, having an opportunity for

24

:

people to sow into our ministry.

25

:

You know, we need to be able to

have all of us more than enough.

26

:

Yes, enough is not enough

for a child of God.

27

:

If you are just praying for enough, you

are just one problem away from not having

28

:

seed in the ground from not giving.

29

:

Yes.

30

:

Um.

31

:

Really to be a faithful Christian,

to be what the word of God describes

32

:

as as a complete Christian, we

need to have more than enough.

33

:

I say complete Christian because

Jesus says there's some things

34

:

that Christians are supposed to do.

35

:

We're supposed to feed the hungry.

36

:

Yes.

37

:

That costs, uh, money more than enough.

38

:

We are supposed to clothe the naked.

39

:

Yes.

40

:

That also requires that we

would have some surplus.

41

:

The Bible says that a good man

leaves an inheritance for his

42

:

children and his children's children.

43

:

The Bible says that we are to go into the

world and make disciples of the nations.

44

:

Yes.

45

:

You know, I've been all over the world

with my wife, and let me just say this,

46

:

tomorrow is our seven year anniversary, so

47

:

seven years.

48

:

Awesome number of perfection,

and we believe there'll be.

49

:

8, 9, 10, 11, 20, even 70.

50

:

Amen.

51

:

Amen.

52

:

So we wanted to be here with you

during our, during our anniversary.

53

:

Well, all right, let me get into

what we're gonna get into now.

54

:

We need to have more than enough, and one

of the things that we have in scripture

55

:

is that we see that there's something

called the tithe and the offering.

56

:

Now take a look at this scripture, one

Corinthians chapter 14, verse eight,

57

:

one Corinthians chapter 14, verse eight.

58

:

And again, let me say this.

59

:

I'm gonna try and give

you two messages in one.

60

:

This is gonna be the, the

qualifier and the quantifier, the

61

:

qualifier, and the quantifier.

62

:

So I'm going to go through and show

us what the tithe looks like, and then

63

:

I'm gonna show us how we have, uh,

seed is anything above that tithe.

64

:

But I'm gonna spell this out in scripture.

65

:

We're gonna go fast, so please take notes.

66

:

And we are recording this so you

can go back over it, meditate on it.

67

:

Yeah, learn from it, and I believe

it will produce fruit in your life.

68

:

Now, one Corinthians 14, eight says,

if the trumpet makes an uncertain

69

:

sound, who will prepare for battle?

70

:

Now, when it comes to the body of Christ

today, around the world, a certain sound

71

:

has gone out regarding many things.

72

:

We have a certain sound that has gone

out as far as salvation is concerned.

73

:

If someone were to ask you, do you

believe that Jesus is the way, the

74

:

truth and the life, and that by no

other name can man be saved, we would

75

:

say, yes, of course, because a certain

sound has gone out from the pulpits all

76

:

around the world regarding salvation.

77

:

If we were to say, do you believe

in healing, do you believe that if

78

:

you can have it, he can heal it?

79

:

That if it, if it's broke, he can fix it.

80

:

Do you believe that God is our healer?

81

:

Amen.

82

:

We would say yes, that we see in

scripture that by his stripes were healed.

83

:

Yes.

84

:

That there has been a certain sound,

a sure sound, a clear sound that

85

:

has gone out regarding healing.

86

:

Yeah.

87

:

If we were to ask the church around

the world, do you believe that the

88

:

Holy Spirit is the power in us to be

a witness for the gospel in the earth?

89

:

We would say yes.

90

:

That is first and foremost the

purpose of the Holy Spirit.

91

:

A certain sound has gone out, a sure

sound, but if I were to ask you, do you

92

:

believe that God desires that we would

tithe, that God desires that we would give

93

:

offerings and that we would participate

in seed time and harvest principles?

94

:

Do we believe that now we have a

little bit of unsurety because an

95

:

unsure sound has gone out around the

world regarding finances, and because

96

:

of that we have many people that

are apprehensive at offering time.

97

:

They're insecure at offering time and

because there's no clarity about it,

98

:

we have a lot of the world that is a

lot of the Christian body of Christ

99

:

that is not prepared for the financial

battles that we might find ourself in.

100

:

Yes.

101

:

Please understand.

102

:

The word of God is, is God

is so in love with you.

103

:

It's such a good thing.

104

:

Yes.

105

:

A couple scriptures I'll give you,

just I gotta, these things bubble

106

:

over in Psalm 1 49, verse four.

107

:

It says that God delights, he

takes pleasure in his people.

108

:

Yes.

109

:

It doesn't say he takes

pleasure in the angels.

110

:

It doesn't say He's taking pleasure in

all the birds and all the squirrels.

111

:

And all the kangaroos, but he

takes pleasure in his people.

112

:

This means that God not only

loves you, but he likes you.

113

:

That's a nice thing.

114

:

We all have people that we

love, but we don't necessarily.

115

:

Like, I mean, we all have

extended family, don't we not?

116

:

We all have those people that when

they call, we think I'll pick that

117

:

up later, but we have a God who

not only loves us, but he likes us.

118

:

And when God likes you, that means he

cares about things that matter to you.

119

:

He cares about about you

having your needs met.

120

:

He cares about the

things that interest you.

121

:

Yes, God absolutely.

122

:

Loves you and he likes you.

123

:

And Psalm 1 38, verse eight, it says,

God will perfect that which concerns you.

124

:

If you don't learn anything else,

if you don't come away with anything

125

:

else that I've shared this weekend,

please understand that God has

126

:

a plan and a purpose for you.

127

:

It is to prosper you and not to harm

you, to give you hope and a future, and

128

:

that he will perfect what concerns you.

129

:

That means whenever your name is spoken

in the earth, all of heaven moves

130

:

that when your name is spoken, that

things are tending towards perfection.

131

:

You should have an expectation

for things to go right.

132

:

Amen.

133

:

You should have an expectation.

134

:

You should expect goodness and

mercy to follow you all the days of

135

:

your life because his word says it.

136

:

Yeah, you should expect favor to come

upon you because God has released it.

137

:

You should expect healing in your

body because he's purchased it and you

138

:

should expect not to walk around with

empty pockets, but you should expect

139

:

to walk around with an open heaven.

140

:

Amen.

141

:

Come on.

142

:

So what I wanna do is I wanna show us

in scripture where we have the tithe,

143

:

where it started, and actually we see

it in Genesis and we see it all the way

144

:

into the new heaven and the new Earth

as far as we can see into the future.

145

:

Now with tithing, many people

will say, Jason, hold on.

146

:

This is old covenant.

147

:

That's the argument many people have.

148

:

But what I want to show you

is that we have a principle.

149

:

Of sharing the increase with God that

is established all the way back in

150

:

Genesis, that tithing is before the law.

151

:

It's incorporated into the law.

152

:

And even after the law, we still see

people sharing the increase with God.

153

:

And even Jesus affirms the tithe.

154

:

All right.

155

:

Can I show you this pattern

all through scripture?

156

:

Yes.

157

:

Glory be to God.

158

:

Yes.

159

:

Amen.

160

:

All right, let's get right into it.

161

:

I'm going O Okay.

162

:

It's too early to say.

163

:

Oof.

164

:

All right, here we go.

165

:

All right.

166

:

Let me show you this

with, um, Adam and Eve.

167

:

Adam and Eve are in the garden.

168

:

It's amazing.

169

:

The first thing that God says to Adam

and Eve is be fruitful and multiply.

170

:

So get a picture of this.

171

:

Here they are.

172

:

They've been put into a garden.

173

:

They have everything that they

would ever possibly need, not just

174

:

for them, but for their children's,

children's, children's children.

175

:

Yeah.

176

:

God has made a planet and he has

made it so that it would sustain us.

177

:

He has made a place that we can be, and

we can see the kingdom of heaven come.

178

:

But what's amazing is that the first

thing that he says to Adam and Eve is you

179

:

can have more be fruitful and multiply.

180

:

Yeah, that's good.

181

:

So here we have God saying be fruitful

and multiply, but of everything that

182

:

they're working on, of everything that

they're doing, he says, I have one

183

:

portion that I want set aside for me.

184

:

So you're gonna work on all the plants,

work on all the trees, but of one you're

185

:

not gonna partake, which is the tree

of the knowledge of good and evil.

186

:

Yeah.

187

:

Um, take a look at this Genesis chapter

two, verse 15 through 17, the Lord

188

:

took the man and he put him in the

Garden of Eden to work it to keep it.

189

:

The Lord commanded the mans saying,

you may surely eat of every tree

190

:

of the garden, but of the tree

of knowledge of good and evil.

191

:

You shall not eat for in

the day you eat of it.

192

:

You'll surely die.

193

:

Now what's interesting is

that they do eat of it.

194

:

They do end up saying, you know what?

195

:

We can have, even the portion God said he

wanted just for him, we can have that too.

196

:

And whenever they ate of it,

they didn't fall over dead.

197

:

But something died.

198

:

I got a great definition

of the word death.

199

:

Someone said, uh, to die means

you are unresponsive to life.

200

:

That here you have someone who's

died and we've all been there.

201

:

You've seen someone at a funeral and

you think, man, they look like they're

202

:

alive, but they're unresponsive to life.

203

:

And whenever Adam and Eve partook

of this, they became unresponsive,

204

:

disconnected from the source of life.

205

:

Something was broken there.

206

:

Yes.

207

:

So they get kicked out of the garden.

208

:

The main thing I want you to catch

right away is that we're already

209

:

seeing a pattern of God saying you

can partake of everything, but there's

210

:

a portion that's set aside for me.

211

:

Yeah.

212

:

Okay.

213

:

Now with Cain and Abel, we have a

beautiful thing here and I'm actually, my

214

:

grandfather and I, we are writing a book

about the tithe and we've done a deep dive

215

:

on this Cane and Abel part, but I'm going

to give you kind of surface, all right?

216

:

I don't wanna go too deep in the teaching

with you 'cause we could be here all

217

:

night, but I do want you to catch

this and I will go as long as you can

218

:

handle, as long as you bottoms can sit,

I can teach you this 'cause I love it.

219

:

I'm passionate about

it with Cain and Abel.

220

:

Let's take a look at what happens here.

221

:

We know the story, right?

222

:

Yes.

223

:

They both bring their offerings.

224

:

God rejects Cain's offering,

but he accepts Abel's offering.

225

:

Yes.

226

:

Let's take a look at Genesis

chapter four, verse three and four.

227

:

Two points I wanna pull out of this.

228

:

It says, after some time, Kain

brought some of his harvest.

229

:

This is the good news Bible.

230

:

After some time, Kain brought

some of his harvest and gave

231

:

it as an offering to the Lord.

232

:

Then Abel brought the first lamb born

to one of his sheep, killed it, and gave

233

:

the best parts of it as an offering.

234

:

And the Lord was pleased.

235

:

The Lord was pleased with Abels

and he had disregard for cans.

236

:

Can you go back to verse three?

237

:

I want to show you something right

off the bat because I've heard

238

:

people argue about why would he

reject Cannes and accept ables?

239

:

And I've heard people say, and I've even

preached it, um, that it was because Abels

240

:

had blood and Cannes was just produce.

241

:

Now there's a truth there.

242

:

But why would God discipline Kane

for being in a different industry?

243

:

He, he, he's in a different industry,

but what we actually have here is hidden.

244

:

In the Hebrew and it

really comes to light.

245

:

I'm gonna show it to you this first

phrase right here in the course of

246

:

time, whenever we read this, we almost

have the idea of, and then once upon

247

:

a time, and then a little while later,

they ended up bringing offerings.

248

:

But that's really not what's being

expressed right there, that in the

249

:

course of time Cain brought his produce.

250

:

The word that's used there speaks

of at the fullness of time, which is

251

:

speaking about Cain bringing his produce

that had already been ripened, it had

252

:

already had its best day, and now he

was bringing God what was left over.

253

:

Basically it was what was about to spoil.

254

:

So in the course of time, speaks

of after the fullness of time,

255

:

he's bringing God his leftovers.

256

:

Abel, on the other hand,

is bringing God his best.

257

:

He kills his the first sheep and

he gives God the best thereof.

258

:

Yeah.

259

:

So here, this is really

what it's a picture of.

260

:

It's a picture of Abel putting God at

the top of his budget and Cain putting

261

:

God at the bottom of his budget.

262

:

Yeah.

263

:

Cain said, I'm gonna enjoy all my produce.

264

:

And then at the fullness of time

after this is already ripe and

265

:

it's beginning to spoil, now

I'm gonna give God my leftovers.

266

:

Wow.

267

:

And God says, I'm not happy with this.

268

:

But then he says, able,

you've done it right.

269

:

Now, whenever people teach this, we often

look at this as a free will offering.

270

:

Right.

271

:

But there's something more here,

because God has a requirement.

272

:

He's saying, Cain, I don't

just want any offering.

273

:

I want an offering that is set aside,

uh, that, that, that is of your best.

274

:

That's before everything else.

275

:

Yes.

276

:

Yes.

277

:

And not only that, but we get a

clue here, and I'm gonna really

278

:

make this clear by bringing up a,

uh, a different translation for us.

279

:

Let me just read this.

280

:

In the King James version,

it is so unclear why God is

281

:

not happy with this offering.

282

:

So let me go again from verse three.

283

:

In the process of time it came to pass

that Cain brought the fruit of the

284

:

ground, an offering under the Lord,

and Abel also brought the firstlings

285

:

of his flock and the fat thereof.

286

:

And the Lord had respect under Abel

in his offering, but under Cain and

287

:

his offering, he had not respect.

288

:

Watch this.

289

:

Now, Cain was upset.

290

:

He's, he's full of wrath

and his countenance fell.

291

:

And verse six and seven are very

confusing, but we're gonna clear it up.

292

:

Verse six says, and the Lord

said unto Cain, why are you Roth?

293

:

Why are you upset?

294

:

Why is your countenance fallen?

295

:

Verse seven, in the King

James, we're gonna hear why.

296

:

Ready?

297

:

If thou doist, well shout

thou not be accepted.

298

:

And if thou doist not well,

sin lies out the door.

299

:

And unto these shall be his desire

and thou shall rule over him.

300

:

Let's be honest here.

301

:

What in the world does that mean?

302

:

God literally is, I mean, the way it's

translated here in the King James, which

303

:

they're pulling from the Hebrew and

they're trying to do their best with

304

:

it, is they're saying, God has said,

why is your countenance fallen Cain?

305

:

And then he says, if you do

well, it will go well for you.

306

:

But if you don't do well,

sin lies at the door.

307

:

So as me and my grandpa we're

looking at this and we were looking

308

:

at where did the tithe originate?

309

:

And we looked at, most people

believe it started with Abraham.

310

:

'cause that's the first time we

see that word tithe ever used.

311

:

But actually, when we get all the way back

here and we look at the Sept version of

312

:

the Bible, which is the Bible, make a long

story short, it was the Greek translation

313

:

of the Bible that was in rotation

whenever Jesus was walking the earth.

314

:

Yeah, this was, the Greek language was

what the New Testament is written in.

315

:

The Greek language was what people

were evangelizing with, and it was

316

:

this Greek version of the Torah that

Jesus and the disciples were handling,

317

:

especially whenever they were witnessing

and sharing the gospel with others.

318

:

And in that Sept version, we get

some more clarity on verse seven.

319

:

Remember verse seven in the

King James, if thou do us well,

320

:

shall thou not be accepted.

321

:

If thou do us not well, sin lies at

the door and unto these shall be his

322

:

desire and thou shalt rule over him.

323

:

This is in the Sept, has thou not sinned?

324

:

If you have brought it rightly but not

rightly divided it, you catch this?

325

:

Let me say it again.

326

:

It says, has thou not sinned?

327

:

He said, Cain, have you not sinned?

328

:

If you have brought it rightly

but not rightly divided it.

329

:

Hmm.

330

:

See, anytime you divide

something, you fractionalize it.

331

:

So here he is saying, Cain, you not

only didn't bring me the quality, you

332

:

gave me your leftovers, but you didn't

bring me the right quantity either.

333

:

You gotta search this out.

334

:

I could be there all night, but take

a look at that in the SEP two agent,

335

:

when you get an opportunity, okay,

it says, if you brought it rightly,

336

:

but you did not rightly divide it.

337

:

So we're seeing that God has

a standard and catch this.

338

:

This is with Cain and Abel.

339

:

Cain is the first man born of a woman.

340

:

So as I explore this thing about the

tithe and where it originated, many

341

:

commentators will say that Abraham tied

to Melek and that that was something that

342

:

the Pagan nations were doing as well.

343

:

So he just took this Pagan custom

and he decided to do it with God.

344

:

And then Moses takes a Pagan custom

and incorporates it into the law.

345

:

We don't have a God who

needs to be taught by pagans.

346

:

We don't have a God who has

to borrow a pagan practice.

347

:

That doesn't make sense because they

mentioned tithing in all different places.

348

:

In Mesopotamia.

349

:

That was happening around

the time Abraham Tithed.

350

:

But when we take the tithe all the way

back to Cain, the first man born of a

351

:

woman, and we see that God has already set

a standard for quantity and quality, we

352

:

recognize that certainly there were other

people tithing in Mesopotamia because

353

:

it had already been established in the

earth with the first man born of a woman.

354

:

Are you catching this?

355

:

Yeah.

356

:

We haven't even gotten to Moses yet.

357

:

Cain and Abel.

358

:

Let me give you another person who tithes

or who shares the increase with God.

359

:

Yes, Noah.

360

:

Yes.

361

:

Now we know that Noah, he builds the arc.

362

:

Noah's righteous.

363

:

The Bible says he's a righteous man.

364

:

The Bible says that he puts two of

every kind of animal on the arc, right?

365

:

Yeah.

366

:

It also says that he put seven

of every kind of clean animal.

367

:

I'm reading this from the good news Bible.

368

:

Again, this is Genesis chapter seven,

verse one through three, and the

369

:

Lord said to Noah, go into the boat.

370

:

You with your whole family.

371

:

I have found that you are the only one

in the world who does what is right.

372

:

Glory be to God.

373

:

Don't you want that set about you?

374

:

Yes.

375

:

Amen.

376

:

Take with you seven pairs of each kind

of ritually clean animal, but only one

377

:

pair of each kind of unclean animal.

378

:

Take also seven pairs

of each kind of bird.

379

:

Do this so that every kind of

animal and bird will be kept alive

380

:

to reproduce again on the earth.

381

:

So here's Noah.

382

:

He's, he's in the ark.

383

:

He has all the animals.

384

:

He has seven of these clean animals.

385

:

He has two of every other kind of animal.

386

:

Then after the flood stops, after

the water subside, the ark rests.

387

:

And the first thing that Noah does

when he gets out of the ark, Noah, is

388

:

now the richest man on earth, right?

389

:

Yes.

390

:

He is the Elon Musk, the Bill

Gates, the Jeff Bezos combined.

391

:

He has the, the breed stock of every

animal that is in existence today.

392

:

And the first thing he does is

he gives God of his increase.

393

:

That's right.

394

:

He has gone from being a boat builder

to now the richest man on earth.

395

:

And the first thing he

does is he sows a seed.

396

:

Yes, he gives one seventh

of the Clean animals.

397

:

Genesis chapter eight.

398

:

Verse 20, Genesis chapter eight, verse 20.

399

:

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord

and he took some of every clean animal

400

:

and some of every clean bird, and he

offered burnt offerings on the altar.

401

:

The Lord smelled a pleasing aroma, and

the Lord said in his heart, I will never

402

:

again curse the ground because of man.

403

:

People say we shouldn't give and

expect anything back from God.

404

:

All the way back here with Noah, a

gift was made, uh, a, a sharing of the

405

:

increases presented and God responds by

establishing a truth, makes a promise in

406

:

the earth, makes a covenant with Noah.

407

:

Ooh, I'm getting excited.

408

:

I will never again curse the ground

because of man for the intentions

409

:

of man's heart is evil from his use.

410

:

Neither will I ever again strike down

every living creatures I've done while

411

:

the earth remains seed time and harvest.

412

:

Cold and heat, summer, winter, day

and night shall not cease notice.

413

:

2,500 years have passed since Adam and

Eve, and then we get to Noah and we still

414

:

see that people are sharing the increase.

415

:

Not everyone but people that

God is calling righteous are

416

:

sharing the increase with God.

417

:

Are you still here?

418

:

Yeah.

419

:

Then we have Abraham.

420

:

I know this is a teaching, but this

is something that we have to get.

421

:

We, we have to get down

to the brass tacks.

422

:

We say in a tack being like a thumbtack,

not a IRS kind of tack, but this

423

:

is where the rubber meets the road.

424

:

It's important that we have these

things established in us, so

425

:

we'll, we'll, we'll shout later,

but I want to get this in you.

426

:

Yeah.

427

:

Notice that with Abraham, who we

are called children of, right?

428

:

Yes.

429

:

Yes.

430

:

Abraham is the father of the faith.

431

:

Mm-hmm.

432

:

Abraham is the first time that

we ever see the word tithe used.

433

:

And this is whenever he has gone

into battle, he has rescued a lot.

434

:

He has rescued his nephew.

435

:

He comes out Melek.

436

:

Melek shows up, and Melek is

what we find out in Hebrews.

437

:

It's a picture of Jesus.

438

:

Yeah.

439

:

And I want you to notice this,

that the tithe people say again.

440

:

They'll say the tithe is about the

old covenant, but catch this when

441

:

Melek shows up, he doesn't bring

the symbols of the old covenant.

442

:

Right.

443

:

He doesn't bring the symbols of Passover.

444

:

He didn't bring a lamb and bitter herbs.

445

:

What he brought was bread and wine.

446

:

Those are the symbols of our

New Testament covenant with God.

447

:

Are you see there's a transcendence here.

448

:

So Melek shows up.

449

:

Abraham with his 300 men

have just rescued a lot.

450

:

They have, they have plundered the enemy.

451

:

They come forward and the first thing

he does is he shares a 10th with Melek.

452

:

Wow.

453

:

Can I show it to you?

454

:

Yes.

455

:

Genesis chapter 14, verse 17

through 20, new living translation.

456

:

Genesis 1417, after Abraham returned

from his victory over Almer and all

457

:

his allies, the King of Sodom went out

to meet him in the Valley of Shava.

458

:

That's the King's Valley and

Melek, the king of Salem.

459

:

A priest of the most high God.

460

:

Yes.

461

:

Right.

462

:

Brought Abraham some bread and wine

and Ek blessed Abraham with a blessing

463

:

saying, blessed be Abraham by God,

most high creator of heaven and earth,

464

:

and blessed be God most high, who

has defeated your enemies for you.

465

:

Then Abraham, which is Abraham, gave Melek

a 10th of the goods that he had recovered.

466

:

Jump over to Hebrews chapter seven because

Melek is a picture of Jesus Christ.

467

:

Hebrews chapter seven, verse one.

468

:

This Melek king of Salem, priest

of the most high God met Abraham

469

:

returning from the slaughter of the

kings and blessed him and to him.

470

:

Abraham apportioned a

10th part of everything.

471

:

He is first by translation of

his name, king of righteousness.

472

:

He is also king of Salem.

473

:

That is king of peace.

474

:

He is without father, without

mother, or genealogy, having neither

475

:

beginning or days nor end of life.

476

:

But resembling the son of God,

he continues as priest forever.

477

:

Melek is a picture of Jesus.

478

:

Jesus shows up whenever

the word tithe is used.

479

:

Okay.

480

:

Are you catching that, that Jesus

really rolls out the red carpet

481

:

for the introduction of the tithe?

482

:

Yeah.

483

:

That's good.

484

:

Are you catching this?

485

:

Yeah.

486

:

Now with this, can I go a

little bit more about Abraham?

487

:

It'll speed up after this.

488

:

Yeah.

489

:

With Abraham, whenever we look at

Abraham, it's important to remember

490

:

that the Bible was not broken up

into chapters and into verses that it

491

:

was a long letter that was written.

492

:

It was scrolls that were

written, and those chapter

493

:

divisions were inserted later.

494

:

Yes.

495

:

So there's times where as we're reading

the Bible, but when we come to the end

496

:

of a chapter in our mind we can say,

well, that's the end of the story.

497

:

That's the end of the episode.

498

:

Right, and then the credits

roll, and then we have the next

499

:

episode with the next chapter.

500

:

But these things are connected.

501

:

Now remember the story of Abraham.

502

:

Abraham in Genesis chapter 12.

503

:

He gets the call of God.

504

:

God says, Abraham, I want you to come

out from your hand or come out from

505

:

your home, come out from your family,

come out from everything you know, and

506

:

I'm going to make you a great nation.

507

:

I'm going to give you a land.

508

:

I'm gonna bless you.

509

:

I'm gonna bless those that bless you.

510

:

Curse those that curse you, and

in and through you where all the

511

:

nations of the world be blessed.

512

:

That's the call of God.

513

:

Then we see Genesis 13, Genesis

14 is where Abraham presents this

514

:

tithe to the high priest, Melek.

515

:

Then at the end of this, we see

the beginning of Genesis 15.

516

:

Abraham's upset.

517

:

He says, God, I've got all this

stuff, but who am I gonna give it to?

518

:

Who am I going to leave my inheritance to?

519

:

Which is beautiful.

520

:

Think about this.

521

:

Our father in the faith, Abraham,

when it came to him having a lot

522

:

of, uh, abundance, his first thought

was, who am I gonna share this with?

523

:

Not, how can I get some more?

524

:

The Bible says he was very

rich, and here he's concerned.

525

:

He said, God, I've tithed, but

I still don't have an error.

526

:

I still don't have someone

to give this inheritance to.

527

:

And in Genesis 15, this is right after

14, Genesis 15, God puts him to sleep

528

:

and God makes a covenant with him.

529

:

This is where he puts him to sleep

and he walks in the figure eight,

530

:

symbolizing an eternal covenant.

531

:

Yes.

532

:

Now catch this.

533

:

He gets a call in Genesis 12.

534

:

He tithes in Genesis 14.

535

:

In Genesis 15, the

covenant is established.

536

:

Yeah.

537

:

The tithe is associated with covenant.

538

:

Yes.

539

:

It's not associated with the law.

540

:

Are you seeing this?

541

:

Ooh, we, and now watch this.

542

:

We have that is the,

that is the qualifier.

543

:

And then we have, beyond that, we have

the quantifier, which is our offering.

544

:

Let me just say this.

545

:

There's a difference between

tithes and offerings.

546

:

Tithes are shown in scripture

as our 10% of our increase.

547

:

If you have no increase,

you have no tithe.

548

:

Right?

549

:

But when we tithe off of our increase,

the Bible says in Malachi three

550

:

10, the windows of heaven open.

551

:

Now, if we think agriculturally,

that means that it's going to rain.

552

:

Now, anything we give

above a tithe is seed.

553

:

It's been given seed

time and harvest power.

554

:

That's what an offering is.

555

:

Whenever, whenever we go to, um,

second Corinthians where Paul.

556

:

Speaks about your offering, having

seed time and harvest power.

557

:

He was not speaking about

a tithe in that moment.

558

:

He's speaking about offerings.

559

:

So offering is seed.

560

:

So some of us, we tithe regularly.

561

:

We have an open heaven, but we don't

give anything over and above that.

562

:

So we have no seed in the ground,

but we have rain on our soil.

563

:

And then others, we will give

offerings sporadically, but

564

:

we don't tithe consistently.

565

:

So we have seed in the ground,

but we don't have an open heaven.

566

:

We don't have any rain on that.

567

:

These two things work together.

568

:

Yeah, come on.

569

:

It's two sides of a boat.

570

:

The side of the tithe, then

the side of the offering.

571

:

And if you will get in that boat,

you can go from where you are

572

:

into the fullness God has for you.

573

:

Yeah.

574

:

Here's the thing.

575

:

Many people been around the world,

maybe it's not here, but a lot of

576

:

people don't want to get in the boat.

577

:

Instead, they get to the end of the

month and they wanna walk on water.

578

:

They pray, God, I need some miracle money.

579

:

I've got more month than I have money.

580

:

Lord, please give me a miracle.

581

:

Yeah, and God will do it.

582

:

He's often done it.

583

:

But here's the thing.

584

:

Jesus only walked on water

once the rest of the time.

585

:

He got in the, you shouldn't be

walking on water month after month.

586

:

Yes.

587

:

Are you catching this?

588

:

Yes.

589

:

God has given us this process.

590

:

You know, uh, Romans 8 28 it says.

591

:

All things work together for the

good of those that love God and are

592

:

called according to his purpose.

593

:

Heaven's purposes happen

according to heaven's process.

594

:

Heaven's purpose always will

happen according to heaven's

595

:

process, seed, time and harvest is

a process that God has given us.

596

:

Tithes and offerings work together.

597

:

Not to get something from you,

but to get something to you.

598

:

Okay?

599

:

Story time.

600

:

So I, um, in the season of my

life, I wanted to make more

601

:

money, so I figured it out.

602

:

I said, I know what I'll do.

603

:

I'll work even more.

604

:

I'll go beyond 38 and a half hours a week.

605

:

So what I would do, it's a true story.

606

:

What I'd do is I had a job at FedEx and

I would go in and I would work from nine

607

:

o'clock at night to four in the morning.

608

:

I would get out, I would go in the

parking lot, change clothes, put on my

609

:

other uniform drive to my other job,

which started at five 30 in the morning.

610

:

I would work from five 30

until one 30 in a warehouse.

611

:

Then, because I'm so smart, I didn't

want to drive all the way home

612

:

because my parents lived too far away.

613

:

I thought that's gonna

cut in on my sleep time.

614

:

So Monday through Friday, I slept in my

friend's walk-in closet in a sleeping bag.

615

:

So I would sleep for a few

hours in the evening, and then

616

:

I would pick up different jobs

here and there on the weekend.

617

:

So you can imagine working that much.

618

:

I must have been super rich, right?

619

:

No, no.

620

:

See, my mentality at that time was if

I work more, my boss will give me more.

621

:

So I was letting my boss, my

employer, set the ceiling on my life.

622

:

Wow.

623

:

See, once I understood tithe and

offerings, the ceiling came off.

624

:

And now I wasn't operating under the

world's economy, but under kingdom

625

:

economy, see, whenever we tithe, most

people initially, they will say, wait

626

:

a minute, Jason, I'm having trouble

with a hundred percent and now you're

627

:

talking about me living off of 90%.

628

:

And then on top of that,

I'm gonna give an offering.

629

:

What are you nuts?

630

:

Here's the thing.

631

:

That tithe is not about

living off of less.

632

:

It's about the ceiling coming off so that

you can live and have more than enough,

633

:

have a favor upon your blessing upon your

finances, a blessing upon your finances.

634

:

And Jessica and I have seen this,

another story, Jessica and I, we are,

635

:

we were, we're looking for a house

right now, but we've had an apartment.

636

:

It's worked for us 'cause

we've been traveling a lot.

637

:

Makes sense.

638

:

Well.

639

:

With, I don't know if how it happens

here in Australia, but in America, every

640

:

year you have to renew your lease and

you cannot wipe the grin, the smile

641

:

off the apartment employee's face when

it's time to renew your lease because

642

:

they know they get to raise the prices.

643

:

Do they do that here?

644

:

So here we are.

645

:

I'm avoiding the office.

646

:

We've already got the notice that

it's gonna be like a month or

647

:

two and they're like, Hey, it's

about time to renew your lease.

648

:

And I'm like, oh man, I know they're

gonna raise it and we're good.

649

:

We're good neighbors.

650

:

We take out our own trash.

651

:

We don't stomp around.

652

:

So I end up going to the office because

our garage door opener didn't work.

653

:

So I went in there to have them fix it.

654

:

Unrelated to getting

the The lease renewed.

655

:

Yeah.

656

:

When I walked in, the lady

lit up and she said, oh, are

657

:

you here to renew your lease?

658

:

And it just came outta my mouth.

659

:

I said, well, we wanna negotiate right.

660

:

Yeah.

661

:

I mean, I was half joking, but I

should have known, 'cause I live

662

:

under an open heaven, that there was

something gonna happen in this moment.

663

:

She says, okay.

664

:

She said, okay.

665

:

Right.

666

:

So I said, I'll come next

Thursday, because I didn't know

667

:

she was even gonna say that.

668

:

So next Thursday I am like,

Jess, we're gonna give them all

669

:

the noise, like all the points.

670

:

We travel a lot.

671

:

We're not even using it.

672

:

We're very, we're very nice.

673

:

We take out our own trash.

674

:

We're good neighbors.

675

:

We walk in and the lady said that she

was gonna cut it in half the increase.

676

:

She said, I'm going to cut

before I said anything.

677

:

Is that true?

678

:

Yes.

679

:

Before I said anything, I just sat

down and she said, we're gonna cut

680

:

this increase in half so you don't

have to pay the full increase.

681

:

I mean, that, that is stuff that happens

when you're living under an open heaven.

682

:

Yeah.

683

:

Are you seeing this?

684

:

It's not about you having

less and going without.

685

:

It's about you acknowledging

God, your Lord of my finances,

686

:

God, I trust you with this and I

trust that you'll provide for me.

687

:

It doesn't make sense that we'd have

a rich father who would want all of

688

:

his children to be poor in America.

689

:

That's called child abuse, right?

690

:

So here we have a rich father,

but he says, if you're not going

691

:

to steward what I've given you,

then okay, have it your way.

692

:

If you want to trust your employer, trust

your employer, but if you want to get

693

:

in the boat, he said, I'll make a way.

694

:

I'll open the windows of heaven.

695

:

I'll pour out a blessing, which there

won't be room enough to receive it.

696

:

You catching this?

697

:

Amen.

698

:

All right, let's go a

little bit further, Abraham.

699

:

So here we have Adam sharing the

increase, Abel showing, sharing the

700

:

increase, Noah sharing the increase.

701

:

Abraham shares the increase.

702

:

Jacob shares the increase.

703

:

Jacob has a divine encounter

with God in Genesis 28 and.

704

:

Coming.

705

:

This is where he falls asleep.

706

:

He's on the run from Esau, and

God gives him a vision of a

707

:

ladder coming down from heaven.

708

:

Angels going up and down.

709

:

Jacob wakes up and says, I did

not know God was in this place.

710

:

Then the first thing he says is,

I'm going to become a tither.

711

:

Then what?

712

:

I mean this is, so he says

he's going to become a tither.

713

:

He goes, he ends up meeting

Laben, his employer?

714

:

Yeah, this his employer and

father-in-law was not good to him.

715

:

He did not make him wealthy.

716

:

In fact, he changed his wages 10 times.

717

:

But yet after this happens, we see

that Jacob leaves years later and he

718

:

says to God, and I'm gonna pull it

up for you 'cause, 'cause I love you.

719

:

He says to the Lord in Genesis,

I'm gonna guess it's 32.

720

:

Where are you?

721

:

All right, I'll take that as a hint.

722

:

He says, God, whenever I left my my

father's house, I had nothing but a

723

:

walking stick, he said, but now my,

my household fills two large camps.

724

:

Jessica's gonna find it before I do.

725

:

It's a race.

726

:

Boom.

727

:

Genesis chapter 32, verse

10, new living translation.

728

:

I'm not worthy of your unfailing

love and faithfulness that you

729

:

have shown to me, your servant.

730

:

When I left home, I

crossed the Jordan River.

731

:

I owned nothing except a walking stick.

732

:

Now my household fills two large camps.

733

:

How did it happen?

734

:

Because he was a tither.

735

:

He was now in covenant

with God in his finances.

736

:

Yeah.

737

:

Okay.

738

:

Again, this is all before

we have Moses show up.

739

:

Now, when Moses shows

up, God speaks to him.

740

:

Remember that it was the finger of

God that wrote the commandments, and

741

:

in that God makes this declaration,

he says, the first is mine.

742

:

It is holy unto the Lord.

743

:

Right?

744

:

Yeah.

745

:

Doesn't it say that?

746

:

Yes.

747

:

So here's the thing.

748

:

Often people will say, well,

Jason, we've gone from the old

749

:

covenant to the new covenant, so

we don't have to tithe anymore.

750

:

But hold on.

751

:

When did things stop becoming holy?

752

:

He said right there.

753

:

He said, whatever is first,

the first of your livestock.

754

:

It is holy unto the Lord,

the first of your produce.

755

:

It is holy unto the Lord.

756

:

Amen.

757

:

We all are generating something

holy every time we produce.

758

:

The first of it is holy

and belongs to the Lord.

759

:

Amen.

760

:

Okay, so we're gonna,

I'm gonna go past Moses.

761

:

I'm gonna go past Malachi three 10.

762

:

We have Solomon, the

wisest man that ever lived.

763

:

Proverbs chapter three, verse nine and 10.

764

:

Here's what the wisest man

that ever lived had to say.

765

:

He said, honor the Lord with

your wealth and with the first

766

:

fruits of all your produce.

767

:

Okay?

768

:

Out of the goodness of your

heart, and then just be done.

769

:

No, but look what he says.

770

:

There's a blessing associated with it.

771

:

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with

the first fruits of all your produce,

772

:

then your barns will be filled with plenty

and your vats will be bursting with wine.

773

:

He says, when you put God first,

he says, something will happen.

774

:

There's something that is released

that there's more than enough.

775

:

There's not less.

776

:

There's more than enough.

777

:

Okay, now let's move

into the New Testament.

778

:

Jesus.

779

:

Jesus comes on the scene

and Jesus was a tither.

780

:

Say, how do you know that Jason?

781

:

Well, for one thing, the Pharisees

followed him around everywhere.

782

:

Yeah.

783

:

Anything he did, they had a problem with,

they were asking him about paying tax.

784

:

They said, Hey, do you think

we should give tax to Caesar?

785

:

I mean, they're following him

pretty much into the bathroom.

786

:

They're saying, you guys didn't

wash your hands before you came out.

787

:

You guys are trying to

heal people on the Sabbath.

788

:

You know, if Jesus wasn't tithing

that they would've been the first

789

:

ones to say, why aren't you tithing?

790

:

Right?

791

:

True.

792

:

True.

793

:

Then when Jesus confronts the Pharisees

about the tithe in Matthew chapter

794

:

23, verse 23, he affirms the tithe.

795

:

He says this, woe to you, scribes and

Pharisees, hypocrites, for you, tithe

796

:

the mint, the deal, all these spices.

797

:

But you have neglected the

weightier matters of the law.

798

:

Say weightier.

799

:

The weightier matters of the law,

wia, justice, mercy, and faithfulness.

800

:

These you ought to have done

without neglecting the others.

801

:

Notice this.

802

:

Jesus says it's good that

you're tithing, but you should

803

:

have also done these things.

804

:

Yes.

805

:

And notice that in the eyes of Jesus,

tithing was not the weightier issue.

806

:

Yeah, that was.

807

:

That was a given.

808

:

That was the easy thing.

809

:

That was, but for many of us today,

we're like, we love everyone.

810

:

We believe in justice and faithfulness,

but tithing, man, that's so heavy.

811

:

That's a weighty issue.

812

:

That's not the way that

Jesus looked at it.

813

:

He said, this is not a weighty issue.

814

:

You should have tithed do

that, but don't neglect this.

815

:

Also because at the end

of the day, tithing.

816

:

Offerings.

817

:

It's a, it's a piece of our whole

life that has to do with stewardship.

818

:

Yes.

819

:

Yeah.

820

:

It's a piece of it.

821

:

We have, I I, I think it was five F's

that, that make up our whole life.

822

:

It's, uh, family.

823

:

We want to have a prosperity in our

family, good relationships, feelings.

824

:

We want to have, um, a levelness

in our emotions, the way

825

:

that we respond to things.

826

:

Finances.

827

:

Finances.

828

:

Of course we're talking about friends.

829

:

Yeah.

830

:

And faith.

831

:

And faith.

832

:

All five of these we have

to steward correctly.

833

:

And when we steward all of these

correctly, we can move into a place of

834

:

more than enough real, true abundance.

835

:

And remember this, John

chapter 10, verse 10.

836

:

Jesus says, the thief comes to

still kill and destroy, but I have

837

:

come that they would have life.

838

:

And that they might say, might,

might, might have it more abundantly.

839

:

See, he, he, he gives us this option.

840

:

He said, I'm going to give you life.

841

:

You've got eternal life when

you've got me, but are you

842

:

gonna have life more abundantly?

843

:

Well, that's gonna come down to you

stewarding what I've given you correctly.

844

:

You catching this?

845

:

Yes.

846

:

Can we go a little bit further?

847

:

Yes.

848

:

You learning anything?

849

:

Yes.

850

:

We also see this in Hebrews chapter

seven, whenever we're hearing about

851

:

the new covenant that we have with

Jesus and tithing is brought up.

852

:

They don't take it back to Moses.

853

:

They take it all the way back to Abraham.

854

:

Who is that Father of our faith.

855

:

Yes.

856

:

Right?

857

:

Yeah.

858

:

Okay.

859

:

Notice this too about Jesus.

860

:

Jesus did not lower the

standard of anything in the law.

861

:

In fact, he said, if you are

going to be perfect to enter

862

:

the kingdom of heaven, yes.

863

:

He said, your righteousness must

exceed that of the Pharisees.

864

:

So he set at this impossible bar.

865

:

Wow.

866

:

Now listen to this too.

867

:

Jesus said this, if you, you

say, not to murder, but I say,

868

:

don't even hate in your heart.

869

:

He's just raised the standard.

870

:

Yes.

871

:

He say, you say, don't commit

adultery, but I say, don't even

872

:

lust after someone in your heart.

873

:

He says, you say, don't swear by

the church, or make an oath by the

874

:

like swearing to God by the church.

875

:

He says, but I say, let your

yeses be yeses in your no no.

876

:

But then we have this idea, you say that

we should give tithes and offerings, but

877

:

I say, you don't have to do that anymore.

878

:

Right?

879

:

That's the mentality that people

approach this with, and just because

880

:

something is in the law does not mean

that it is totally null and void.

881

:

Before or after the cross.

882

:

Keep this in mind.

883

:

Cain killed Abel before there was

a law, but it was still wrong.

884

:

Abraham about got in trouble with

adultery by telling ab Bialek that

885

:

his wife was his sister, right?

886

:

And that was wrong.

887

:

Even a bialek knew it.

888

:

He said, man, you might have caused, you

might have brought destruction on us.

889

:

Why would you lie to us?

890

:

See, there are, there are laws

in, um, included in the Covenant

891

:

with Moses that are ceremonial

because I've had people say, Jason.

892

:

If you want to affirm the law, then you're

saying that people need to trim their

893

:

beards a certain way and this and that.

894

:

No, there were ceremonial laws and there

are moral laws, and the law points us to

895

:

righteousness, and it reveals our sin.

896

:

Then Jesus comes, he fulfills

the law and in, and now we are in

897

:

this place of righteousness, but

it's not separate from the law.

898

:

Think how to say this.

899

:

There were, before Christ came, people had

to obey everything that was in the law.

900

:

The law was written down.

901

:

They would read it and then

they would try and act it out.

902

:

But we have a different thing in the

new covenant, the word of God says that

903

:

the law has been written on our hearts.

904

:

You are now a picture of that word.

905

:

Yeah.

906

:

That's good.

907

:

Made flesh.

908

:

Yes.

909

:

Oh, we, let's go a little bit further.

910

:

Let's Oh, thank you, Jesus.

911

:

I love this.

912

:

I'm not gonna get as far as I thought,

but I do want to pray with you guys.

913

:

So I'm gonna go a little bit further

and then we'll, we'll do that.

914

:

Are you all right?

915

:

Yes.

916

:

Unless you want to go longer, we can.

917

:

They said we have this until 2:00

AM Is that when you say We had to?

918

:

Okay.

919

:

Part of our, part of the way that that

we learn is through imitation, right?

920

:

And we are told to be imitators.

921

:

The Bible says in, uh, one

Corinthians 11, one, Paul says,

922

:

imitate me as I also imitate Christ.

923

:

Ephesians five, one says,

be imitators of God.

924

:

Dear children, Philippians three 17

brothers, join in imitating me and

925

:

keep your eyes on those who walk

according to the example you have in us.

926

:

Hebrews 13, seven.

927

:

Remember your leaders, those who spoke to

you, the word of God, consider the outcome

928

:

of their life and imitate their faith.

929

:

Imitate, imitate, imitate.

930

:

And I love this one.

931

:

Hebrews chapter six, verse 12.

932

:

Write this one.

933

:

Now, Hebrews six 12.

934

:

Do not become sluggish, but imitate

those who through faith and patience,

935

:

inherit the promises of God.

936

:

So here's my question.

937

:

If we have Adam, who's

sharing the increase?

938

:

Abel, who's sharing the increase?

939

:

Noah, who's sharing the increase?

940

:

Abraham, who's sharing the increase?

941

:

Jacob, who's sharing the increase?

942

:

Hezekiah, who's sharing the increase?

943

:

Nehemiah, who's sharing the increase?

944

:

Jesus, who's affirming

the share of the increase?

945

:

Who are we imitating by not tithing.

946

:

Come on,

947

:

boy.

948

:

We're called to be imitators of

those who inherited the promises.

949

:

We, we do this through faith and patience.

950

:

Yeah.

951

:

Come on.

952

:

So be so careful and think,

well, I'm just going to, I, I

953

:

saw Jason, you don't understand.

954

:

I was watching TikTok and I

saw a 32nd reel and this guy

955

:

wrapped up the whole thing.

956

:

We don't have to do anything anymore.

957

:

Okay, well that's great,

958

:

but I want to be one of those that is

imitating those that have gone before us.

959

:

I will imitate those who with faith and

patience inherited the promises of God.

960

:

Amen.

961

:

Amen.

962

:

Alright, and now let's look as far as

we can see into the future in the new

963

:

Heaven and the new Earth, are people

still sharing the increase with God?

964

:

Look at, um, and I'm gonna read

this from the Good News translation.

965

:

Revelation Chapter 21,

verse one through three.

966

:

This is gonna give us our

context of where we're at.

967

:

He says, then I saw a new heaven and a

new earth, the first heaven, and the first

968

:

earth disappeared and the sea vanished.

969

:

And I saw the holy city, the new

Jerusalem coming down out of heaven

970

:

from God prepared and ready like a

bride dressed to meet her husband.

971

:

And I heard a loud voice

speaking from the throne.

972

:

Now, God's home is with his

people and he will live with

973

:

them, and they will be His people.

974

:

God himself will be with them,

and he will be their God.

975

:

This is as far as we

can see into the future.

976

:

And now look at Revelation

21, verse 23 through 26.

977

:

The city has no need of sun or moon to

shine on it because the glory of God

978

:

shines on it and the lamb is its lamp.

979

:

Notice this and the people of the earth.

980

:

Oh, we went to 27 20.

981

:

Let's go to 24.

982

:

Hey, I know him.

983

:

Jason Azine.

984

:

Okay.

985

:

And the Kings of the Earth.

986

:

Here we get a little play on the words.

987

:

Keep this in mind here.

988

:

Whenever we have the translators

that we're translating this into King

989

:

James, new King James, these kinds of

things, they, they could not fathom

990

:

that everyone would have prosperity.

991

:

That the, the majority of

humanity was living in poverty.

992

:

And when they would see scriptures like

this, they would use different words.

993

:

This word glory is used.

994

:

It's also used glory and honor.

995

:

But the word, the Greek word

that is used is the word teme.

996

:

Yeah, and that is a word

that means money, wealth.

997

:

Look at the next verse by a

light will bring kings and

998

:

they will bring their glory.

999

:

They will bring their wealth.

:

00:51:36,945 --> 00:51:38,085

Good news, translation.

:

00:51:38,085 --> 00:51:39,795

They will bring their wealth into it.

:

00:51:39,945 --> 00:51:42,765

The gates of the city

will stand open all day.

:

00:51:42,765 --> 00:51:46,515

They will never be closed because

there will be no night there.

:

00:51:46,545 --> 00:51:52,485

And the greatness and the wealth of the

nations will be brought into the city.

:

00:51:53,865 --> 00:51:58,155

I don't understand what kind of, what kind

of industry is going to be happening then,

:

00:51:58,425 --> 00:52:03,465

but we still see, as far as we can see

into the future that in the new heaven and

:

00:52:03,465 --> 00:52:08,475

the new Earth, that there are still those

that are sharing their increase with God.

:

00:52:09,585 --> 00:52:13,485

This is so much bigger than just, well,

the law says we don't have to do it.

:

00:52:14,355 --> 00:52:16,065

And I would rather get to heaven and hear.

:

00:52:16,065 --> 00:52:21,615

Jason, you gave entirely too much

than to hear, than to hear Jay.

:

00:52:21,615 --> 00:52:23,535

What was the hangup about?

:

00:52:23,685 --> 00:52:24,645

About money?

:

00:52:24,855 --> 00:52:25,605

Yeah.

:

00:52:26,175 --> 00:52:29,775

See, when we connect to

God, everything shifts.

:

00:52:29,925 --> 00:52:31,275

Everything changes.

:

00:52:31,275 --> 00:52:31,365

Good.

:

00:52:32,325 --> 00:52:32,625

All right.

:

00:52:32,625 --> 00:52:34,155

I'm gonna, I'm, I'm

gonna go ahead and close.

:

00:52:34,155 --> 00:52:36,405

I said I was gonna give you two

messages, but I'm just gonna give you

:

00:52:36,405 --> 00:52:43,395

one take a look at, I'm gonna give

you two more verses, maybe three, but

:

00:52:43,425 --> 00:52:44,805

we're, we're gonna get ready to land.

:

00:52:44,805 --> 00:52:45,165

All right?

:

00:52:45,165 --> 00:52:45,975

So be at peace.

:

00:52:47,115 --> 00:52:48,045

Take a look at,

:

00:52:50,295 --> 00:52:53,535

take a look at Colossians

chapter one, verse 17.

:

00:52:53,535 --> 00:52:54,855

Have you, are you learning anything?

:

00:52:54,945 --> 00:52:55,275

Yes.

:

00:52:55,695 --> 00:52:58,875

Look at Colossians chapter

one, verse 17 and 18.

:

00:52:58,875 --> 00:52:59,925

I have the ESV here.

:

00:53:00,645 --> 00:53:02,115

It's speaking about Jesus.

:

00:53:02,115 --> 00:53:08,235

It says He is before all things and

in him all things hold together.

:

00:53:09,075 --> 00:53:13,635

He is the head of the body, the

church, he is the beginning,

:

00:53:13,815 --> 00:53:15,855

the first born from the dead.

:

00:53:16,065 --> 00:53:21,015

That in everything except

money, he might be preeminent.

:

00:53:23,610 --> 00:53:24,840

That's good, right?

:

00:53:24,840 --> 00:53:25,740

That's how we read it.

:

00:53:25,740 --> 00:53:26,910

That's how people read it.

:

00:53:27,540 --> 00:53:29,370

We can read it in the

New Living Translation.

:

00:53:29,700 --> 00:53:31,830

Christ is ahead of the

church, which is the body.

:

00:53:31,860 --> 00:53:36,000

He's the beginning supreme over

all who rise from the dead.

:

00:53:36,060 --> 00:53:42,540

So he is first in everything except

money are you beginning to see money.

:

00:53:42,540 --> 00:53:43,170

Money.

:

00:53:44,220 --> 00:53:46,950

It's just pieces of paper

with dead presidents on it

:

00:53:49,290 --> 00:53:54,090

and your money can only do so much

when you keep it in your hand.

:

00:53:54,630 --> 00:53:58,920

But God has said, I've given your

hands the power to get wealth.

:

00:53:59,580 --> 00:54:04,620

Deuteronomy eight 17 and 18, he says,

don't get to a place where you prosper

:

00:54:04,710 --> 00:54:08,730

and you say, it's by the power of my

hands that I've gotten this wealth.

:

00:54:09,300 --> 00:54:10,050

God says, no.

:

00:54:10,050 --> 00:54:14,580

It is the Lord's your God who has

given you the power to get wealth.

:

00:54:14,850 --> 00:54:14,940

Yes.

:

00:54:14,970 --> 00:54:17,850

See, whenever I would always read

that, I would think about my hands

:

00:54:17,940 --> 00:54:20,130

having the power to produce and get.

:

00:54:21,180 --> 00:54:26,490

The way that your hands produce wealth

is not by taking up, it's by handing out.

:

00:54:27,479 --> 00:54:32,700

It's by what comes out of your hand that

we see the power that produces wealth.

:

00:54:33,330 --> 00:54:35,310

Ephesians chapter three, verse 20.

:

00:54:35,580 --> 00:54:37,140

It says, God is ex.

:

00:54:37,169 --> 00:54:39,959

He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly.

:

00:54:39,959 --> 00:54:45,000

Above all we could ask or think

according to the power that is in heaven.

:

00:54:45,629 --> 00:54:52,410

No, he says, according to the

power that is at work in us, that

:

00:54:52,410 --> 00:54:54,419

is the power of Jesus Christ.

:

00:54:54,810 --> 00:54:58,560

That is the power of the

Holy Spirit and my friend.

:

00:54:58,770 --> 00:55:02,759

The kingdom power that is in you is

the power of seed, time and harvest.

:

00:55:03,540 --> 00:55:06,455

That he said if you desire

anything that you would give it.

:

00:55:07,290 --> 00:55:09,810

Because if you give, it

will be given back to you.

:

00:55:10,440 --> 00:55:10,920

Amen.

:

00:55:11,009 --> 00:55:12,540

Are, are you, are you catching this?

:

00:55:12,600 --> 00:55:13,710

Are you learning anything?

:

00:55:14,009 --> 00:55:14,100

Yes.

:

00:55:14,430 --> 00:55:17,490

Are you beginning to see that the

tithe has everything to do with

:

00:55:17,490 --> 00:55:19,500

a covenant relationship with God?

:

00:55:19,860 --> 00:55:22,590

It's not about something

that was just in the law.

:

00:55:22,920 --> 00:55:26,759

This was something that existed

before the law and the foundation

:

00:55:26,759 --> 00:55:28,470

of it was relationship with God.

:

00:55:29,460 --> 00:55:34,680

We, I mean, this was, this was him saying,

look, I want to be first in every area

:

00:55:34,680 --> 00:55:36,750

of your life, including your finances.

:

00:55:36,840 --> 00:55:41,009

Whatever you put God first

in, he will bless you.

:

00:55:41,009 --> 00:55:42,630

Put him first in your marriage.

:

00:55:42,660 --> 00:55:43,860

He'll bless your marriage.

:

00:55:44,100 --> 00:55:47,400

If you have a business, put

him first in your business.

:

00:55:47,610 --> 00:55:48,060

Watch him.

:

00:55:48,060 --> 00:55:48,930

Bless your business.

:

00:55:48,930 --> 00:55:49,049

Amen.

:

00:55:49,980 --> 00:55:54,000

If you make him first in your day,

you wake up and say, God, I thank you.

:

00:55:54,000 --> 00:55:56,250

You've put, you've put breath in my lungs.

:

00:55:56,610 --> 00:55:59,160

God, I thank you that I

represent the kingdom of heaven

:

00:55:59,550 --> 00:56:00,870

and that this day is blessed.

:

00:56:00,870 --> 00:56:04,620

I'm telling you, you put a blessing at

the beginning of your day by putting him

:

00:56:04,620 --> 00:56:10,020

first in your day, and when it comes to

your finances, when you put God first in

:

00:56:10,020 --> 00:56:13,290

your finances, he'll bless your finances.

:

00:56:13,860 --> 00:56:14,660

Why wouldn't he do it?

:

00:56:15,960 --> 00:56:18,150

It's not about getting something from you.

:

00:56:18,360 --> 00:56:20,280

It's about getting something to you.

:

00:56:21,450 --> 00:56:25,440

Nothing leaves heaven until

something leaves earth.

:

00:56:27,000 --> 00:56:29,640

Nothing leaves heaven until

something leaves earth.

:

00:56:30,240 --> 00:56:34,860

Even when we think about the natural about

rain, you know where rain comes from,

:

00:56:36,960 --> 00:56:37,260

right?

:

00:56:37,260 --> 00:56:41,250

Clouds, they go out over the ocean

and you can even see it sometimes.

:

00:56:41,250 --> 00:56:45,840

So you guys have an ocean view, but

water will literally, that water goes

:

00:56:45,840 --> 00:56:52,320

up, precipitation happens, and the clouds

get full of water, and then they come.

:

00:56:52,320 --> 00:56:53,910

They get so heavy that they dump out.

:

00:56:53,940 --> 00:56:54,000

Yeah.

:

00:56:55,020 --> 00:56:58,140

Nothing leaves heaven until

something leaves earth.

:

00:56:58,890 --> 00:56:59,640

Now wait a minute.

:

00:56:59,640 --> 00:57:00,870

Let me read you one last one.

:

00:57:00,930 --> 00:57:02,940

Can we have the King

James version on this?

:

00:57:03,510 --> 00:57:05,910

Let's look at Malachi

chapter three, verse 10.

:

00:57:08,790 --> 00:57:09,690

I love you so much.

:

00:57:10,140 --> 00:57:13,710

I'm I, I'm so passionate about

this because I've seen it work

:

00:57:13,770 --> 00:57:17,190

over and over again in our lives,

and I want you to experience it.

:

00:57:18,360 --> 00:57:18,810

All right?

:

00:57:18,810 --> 00:57:19,560

Take a look at this.

:

00:57:19,560 --> 00:57:22,905

You know this verse, king James,

do you have it in King James?

:

00:57:23,160 --> 00:57:23,190

Oh,

:

00:57:28,620 --> 00:57:30,210

and while he is going

there, I'll give you this.

:

00:57:30,900 --> 00:57:33,240

The Law of Divine portion

is over and over again.

:

00:57:35,010 --> 00:57:39,300

The Law of Divine portion says God has

something set aside in the Garden of Eden.

:

00:57:39,870 --> 00:57:42,750

Remember when God made

the tabernacle with Moses?

:

00:57:43,110 --> 00:57:45,300

He said, you guys have the outer court.

:

00:57:46,050 --> 00:57:49,185

You have the inner court, but

I have the Holy of Holies.

:

00:57:50,075 --> 00:57:52,470

He set apart a portion for himself.

:

00:57:53,160 --> 00:57:56,609

Remember whenever he divides up

the 12 tribes and he says, we're

:

00:57:56,609 --> 00:57:58,229

going into the promised land.

:

00:57:58,649 --> 00:58:02,339

He says, you guys, as we go into the

Promised Land, the first place that

:

00:58:02,339 --> 00:58:05,250

they had victory was Jericho, right?

:

00:58:05,459 --> 00:58:07,229

And then what does God tell them?

:

00:58:07,259 --> 00:58:10,859

He says, all of the spoils of

this victory, I want you to

:

00:58:11,009 --> 00:58:12,660

give into the house of God.

:

00:58:12,930 --> 00:58:14,310

Bring it to the tabernacle.

:

00:58:14,609 --> 00:58:16,350

It was a picture of the tithe.

:

00:58:17,490 --> 00:58:21,779

And then with the Levites, everyone

got an area of land except the Levites.

:

00:58:22,169 --> 00:58:23,850

God said, no, they're my portion.

:

00:58:24,299 --> 00:58:25,319

Are you seeing this?

:

00:58:25,410 --> 00:58:25,649

Yes.

:

00:58:25,709 --> 00:58:32,189

The promised land Over and over again, we

see the God puts a portion for himself.

:

00:58:32,910 --> 00:58:33,359

Amen.

:

00:58:33,359 --> 00:58:33,450

Yes.

:

00:58:33,750 --> 00:58:35,279

Ooh, okay.

:

00:58:36,330 --> 00:58:37,020

We know this.

:

00:58:37,020 --> 00:58:38,100

Can we read it together?

:

00:58:38,339 --> 00:58:39,089

Wouldn't that be fun?

:

00:58:40,890 --> 00:58:41,399

Okay.

:

00:58:41,430 --> 00:58:41,790

Ready?

:

00:58:41,819 --> 00:58:43,169

1, 2, 3.

:

00:58:43,319 --> 00:58:47,640

Bring ye all the tithes into

the storehouse that there

:

00:58:47,640 --> 00:58:49,890

may be meat in mine house.

:

00:58:49,950 --> 00:58:52,140

And prove me now here with.

:

00:58:52,515 --> 00:58:59,115

Say it, the Lord of hosts, if I will

not open you windows of heaven and

:

00:58:59,115 --> 00:59:05,145

pour you out a blessing that there

shall not be room enough to receive it.

:

00:59:05,505 --> 00:59:09,465

Now as we read it, everyone

fumbled at one part, right?

:

00:59:09,465 --> 00:59:12,975

Because we always add a word

here and it's right here.

:

00:59:13,424 --> 00:59:16,545

He says, prove me now

here with catch this.

:

00:59:16,935 --> 00:59:18,315

God says, test me.

:

00:59:18,495 --> 00:59:24,375

Put me to the test in this, and if

I had more time, I encourage you.

:

00:59:24,375 --> 00:59:30,945

Bible students go back and look at Malachi

chapter three as they're talking about the

:

00:59:30,945 --> 00:59:36,015

advent of the Lord, that about him coming

and go look and see, is this describing

:

00:59:36,015 --> 00:59:37,965

his first coming or his second coming.

:

00:59:38,865 --> 00:59:42,855

It's describing him coming in

judgment that he is a swift

:

00:59:42,855 --> 00:59:44,805

witness against the adulterers.

:

00:59:45,450 --> 00:59:47,430

That was not how he came the first time.

:

00:59:47,700 --> 00:59:47,910

That's right.

:

00:59:47,940 --> 00:59:49,680

He came bringing grace and mercy.

:

00:59:49,710 --> 00:59:52,740

He CROs right next to the

woman caught in adultery.

:

00:59:53,279 --> 00:59:53,370

Yes.

:

00:59:53,430 --> 00:59:55,230

He says, go and sin no more.

:

00:59:56,790 --> 01:00:02,190

Go back and read Malachi chapter three

and you'll see that they're describing the

:

01:00:02,190 --> 01:00:07,980

second coming, which puts this scripture

right in the middle of the church age.

:

01:00:08,880 --> 01:00:09,390

Okay?

:

01:00:10,890 --> 01:00:16,440

If I will not open you, the windows

of heaven we always add, I'll open

:

01:00:16,440 --> 01:00:19,529

for you, but that's not what it says.

:

01:00:21,029 --> 01:00:24,690

See, here's the truth, is that

you are the window of heaven.

:

01:00:25,710 --> 01:00:25,770

Wow.

:

01:00:25,890 --> 01:00:30,600

See, if someone wants to see heaven,

they can look at you and they can see

:

01:00:30,600 --> 01:00:32,759

the righteousness, the goodness of God.

:

01:00:33,029 --> 01:00:36,390

So whenever you begin to give and

you bring a tithe, then an offering

:

01:00:36,390 --> 01:00:41,759

to the Lord, it's not just opening

up over you, it's God opening you.

:

01:00:42,645 --> 01:00:47,654

And pouring you out a blessing that

there won't be enough room to receive it.

:

01:00:48,314 --> 01:00:48,435

Amen.

:

01:00:48,495 --> 01:00:50,415

You are the window of heaven.

:

01:00:51,375 --> 01:00:51,464

Yes.

:

01:00:51,674 --> 01:00:54,375

If they've seen you, they've seen Jesus.

:

01:00:56,564 --> 01:00:59,174

If they've seen Jesus,

they've seen the Father.

:

01:00:59,685 --> 01:01:02,205

But if they've seen

you, they've seen Jesus.

:

01:01:02,294 --> 01:01:03,765

They can look through the window.

:

01:01:04,484 --> 01:01:08,685

And whenever you bring those tithes

and offerings, God will open you

:

01:01:08,745 --> 01:01:12,825

up in a greater dimension and he

will pour things in and through

:

01:01:12,825 --> 01:01:15,105

your life like never before.

:

01:01:15,524 --> 01:01:18,225

Are you seeing that it's

not one or the other?

:

01:01:18,225 --> 01:01:19,035

It's both.

:

01:01:19,365 --> 01:01:20,294

I love it.

:

01:01:20,774 --> 01:01:21,645

I love it.

:

01:01:22,035 --> 01:01:24,345

It's your Bible too.

:

01:01:24,765 --> 01:01:26,174

I should totally be done.

:

01:01:28,605 --> 01:01:29,955

Our, our tithes.

:

01:01:30,105 --> 01:01:34,305

I wanna encourage you, if you've never

made a commitment to be a tither, there's

:

01:01:34,305 --> 01:01:36,404

no better time to start than right now.

:

01:01:37,544 --> 01:01:38,355

You make a make.

:

01:01:39,029 --> 01:01:40,020

Promise to the Lord.

:

01:01:40,020 --> 01:01:40,500

I don't know.

:

01:01:40,500 --> 01:01:46,259

When we get our wages, if it's weekly

or monthly or, or bimonthly, but

:

01:01:46,259 --> 01:01:52,710

between you and the Lord, search

God on this and say, God, the can

:

01:01:52,710 --> 01:01:54,990

I put you to the test in this?

:

01:01:54,990 --> 01:01:55,529

Yeah.

:

01:01:55,529 --> 01:01:55,859

Come on.

:

01:01:56,430 --> 01:01:58,560

And, and I won't be here next week.

:

01:01:58,589 --> 01:02:01,439

So if you're really concerned

about about me getting an

:

01:02:01,439 --> 01:02:04,259

offering, wait till next week.

:

01:02:05,189 --> 01:02:08,430

But I want this to happen in your life.

:

01:02:09,419 --> 01:02:14,730

So make a decision and I pray that

the Lord, the Holy Spirit would bring

:

01:02:14,730 --> 01:02:18,870

this to your remembrance the next time

that you have increase in your life.

:

01:02:19,680 --> 01:02:23,520

'cause for some of us, I mean, just

look at the way we divide our increase.

:

01:02:23,700 --> 01:02:25,589

We get increase in the first thing we do.

:

01:02:25,890 --> 01:02:26,160

Nope.

:

01:02:26,160 --> 01:02:27,480

I'm gonna pay the electrical bill.

:

01:02:28,230 --> 01:02:30,750

I'm gonna share the increase

with McDonald's with Mackey's.

:

01:02:30,840 --> 01:02:34,560

I'm gonna share the increase

with, I'm gonna share the increase

:

01:02:34,560 --> 01:02:35,700

with the mortgage company.

:

01:02:35,790 --> 01:02:38,730

I'm gonna share the increase

with my car payment.

:

01:02:38,790 --> 01:02:41,759

I'm gonna share the increase

with the gasoline man.

:

01:02:41,820 --> 01:02:43,800

I'm gonna share the increase

with everyone in God.

:

01:02:43,800 --> 01:02:45,210

I'm gonna give you whatever's left over.

:

01:02:46,770 --> 01:02:48,690

Let's share our increase with God.

:

01:02:48,690 --> 01:02:49,650

Let's put him first.

:

01:02:49,650 --> 01:02:51,330

Make him preeminent in every way.

:

01:02:53,040 --> 01:02:58,920

Last thing, how do we decide, how does

God decide how valuable an offering is?

:

01:02:58,920 --> 01:03:00,840

Yeah, that's a good question.

:

01:03:02,220 --> 01:03:08,370

When it comes to the value of your

offering, how does God look at it?

:

01:03:09,029 --> 01:03:10,590

Now, God owns everything, right?

:

01:03:10,980 --> 01:03:11,040

Yeah.

:

01:03:12,090 --> 01:03:13,080

He owns everything.

:

01:03:13,080 --> 01:03:14,160

It all belongs to him.

:

01:03:14,820 --> 01:03:17,580

So when God looks at our

offering, how does he decide?

:

01:03:17,730 --> 01:03:19,230

Is this a good offering or not?

:

01:03:20,040 --> 01:03:23,279

Because remember, the woman

with two mites, he said, this

:

01:03:23,279 --> 01:03:24,154

woman's out given every woman.

:

01:03:24,450 --> 01:03:24,540

Yep.

:

01:03:26,009 --> 01:03:29,939

Here's the way that God decides what

you're offering, how valuable it is.

:

01:03:30,839 --> 01:03:33,779

It's based on how precious it is to you.

:

01:03:35,250 --> 01:03:39,270

If you are continually giving

God your leftovers, don't

:

01:03:39,270 --> 01:03:41,100

expect heaven to do back flips.

:

01:03:41,609 --> 01:03:44,100

Oh, look, they put a $5 bill in there.

:

01:03:45,540 --> 01:03:48,270

If you're just giving him

your pocket change, don't

:

01:03:48,270 --> 01:03:50,009

expect having to do backflips.

:

01:03:50,549 --> 01:03:53,609

But God looks through that

envelope and into your heart.

:

01:03:54,509 --> 01:03:58,140

And if you say, God, this is

precious to me, and I'm putting

:

01:03:58,140 --> 01:04:02,790

this forth, then God says, Hey,

he's doing something serious here.

:

01:04:02,790 --> 01:04:02,850

Yeah.

:

01:04:03,569 --> 01:04:04,859

I'm gonna move on this.

:

01:04:05,279 --> 01:04:06,660

Yeah, because God is moved.

:

01:04:06,660 --> 01:04:08,129

He is moved by seed.

:

01:04:08,129 --> 01:04:08,220

Yes.

:

01:04:08,730 --> 01:04:08,939

Amen.

:

01:04:09,509 --> 01:04:10,350

And please catch this.

:

01:04:10,470 --> 01:04:13,259

If you continually remember

seed time and harvest,

:

01:04:15,930 --> 01:04:21,480

if you continually sow what you

do not need, you will continually

:

01:04:21,480 --> 01:04:23,430

reap what you cannot use.

:

01:04:26,399 --> 01:04:27,120

Lemme say it again.

:

01:04:27,419 --> 01:04:32,250

If you continually sow what you do not

need, just sow in your leftovers, you

:

01:04:32,250 --> 01:04:38,640

will continually reap what you cannot

use the way that you can move into a life

:

01:04:38,640 --> 01:04:41,580

that's full of surprises, good surprises.

:

01:04:41,640 --> 01:04:45,629

The way that you can move into

a life of more than enough is by

:

01:04:45,629 --> 01:04:47,100

having an open heaven over your life.

:

01:04:48,569 --> 01:04:51,089

It's by tithing, having

the windows of heaven open.

:

01:04:51,690 --> 01:04:55,560

It's by sharing the increase with God,

and then it's by saying, God, I have

:

01:04:55,560 --> 01:04:57,899

a seed here and it's precious to me.

:

01:04:57,899 --> 01:04:59,310

I came here to do business with you.

:

01:05:02,160 --> 01:05:06,359

And then to be able to sow something in

that moment, and God will breathe on it.

:

01:05:07,319 --> 01:05:09,540

Yes, because his word is true.

:

01:05:09,540 --> 01:05:09,600

Yeah.

:

01:05:10,890 --> 01:05:13,620

So I wanna encourage you, I don't know,

whenever we get wages here, do you

:

01:05:13,620 --> 01:05:16,290

get, is it monthly or is it bimonthly?

:

01:05:17,609 --> 01:05:18,720

Everyone's different.

:

01:05:20,040 --> 01:05:23,520

Well, whenever it happens, that's

your opportunity to say, God, all

:

01:05:23,520 --> 01:05:24,779

right, I'm gonna move on this.

:

01:05:25,319 --> 01:05:27,509

And for some of you, even

tonight, whatever you want to do.

:

01:05:27,509 --> 01:05:31,710

Or this morning, maybe you wanted to wait

till later, wait till tonight, or on the

:

01:05:31,710 --> 01:05:33,779

way home you decide to give something.

:

01:05:34,440 --> 01:05:38,940

But say, God, I want to give

something that's valuable to me.

:

01:05:39,930 --> 01:05:40,350

It's not.

:

01:05:40,470 --> 01:05:41,850

It's not about the amount.

:

01:05:41,850 --> 01:05:44,040

It's about if it's precious to you or not.

:

01:05:45,090 --> 01:05:45,480

Okay.

:

01:05:45,480 --> 01:05:46,620

And then here's the thing.

:

01:05:47,279 --> 01:05:51,210

I want to come back in a few months

and I want to hear about the harvest

:

01:05:51,210 --> 01:05:55,470

that are coming in because we are

going to hear about the harvests.

:

01:05:55,980 --> 01:05:58,200

The word of God will not be denied.

:

01:05:58,200 --> 01:05:59,910

It will not return void.

:

01:06:00,600 --> 01:06:00,660

Yeah.

:

01:06:00,990 --> 01:06:03,720

One last thing about the tithe, and

then pastor, I really have to stop.

:

01:06:03,779 --> 01:06:05,040

Look, I'm handing over the stuff.

:

01:06:07,049 --> 01:06:07,500

Okay.

:

01:06:07,740 --> 01:06:11,670

Whenever we start tithing, some of you're

gonna say, Jason, this looks like chaos.

:

01:06:11,700 --> 01:06:16,890

Things are getting crazy

whenever the first time.

:

01:06:18,105 --> 01:06:22,185

The first time we ever see the phrase

the windows of heaven used in scripture

:

01:06:22,875 --> 01:06:28,575

is when the sky opened, the windows of

heaven opened and God flooded the earth.

:

01:06:30,915 --> 01:06:34,185

Whenever God flooded the earth, he

removed a lot of things that were

:

01:06:34,185 --> 01:06:38,085

unnecessary so he could start again

with what would bring Him glory.

:

01:06:39,254 --> 01:06:44,024

As you begin to tithe, there might

be a few weeks a month where you're

:

01:06:44,024 --> 01:06:47,115

sitting here going, man, this looks

like things are getting crazy.

:

01:06:47,685 --> 01:06:48,734

Let God work.

:

01:06:49,065 --> 01:06:54,464

Let him remove some things so that

he can start fresh with something

:

01:06:54,464 --> 01:06:57,944

that will bring him glory because he

doesn't want to share his glory with

:

01:06:57,944 --> 01:06:59,865

anyone else, and he doesn't want to.

:

01:07:00,134 --> 01:07:02,565

He doesn't want it at the end

of the day where you say, I got

:

01:07:02,565 --> 01:07:04,964

rich 'cause of the lottery, or I

got rich 'cause of this or that.

:

01:07:05,055 --> 01:07:10,065

No, he wants all the glory, so be

ready for him to remove some things

:

01:07:10,455 --> 01:07:15,165

so that he can establish that great

covenant with you of more than enough.

:

01:07:15,165 --> 01:07:16,065

Would you stand with me?
